'Magnets, always with the magnets'
And why not, magnets rock! They don't need batteries, they're compatible with pretty much anything containing iron, and add a box of paper clips and you've got your own desktop structural engineering experiment!
Buzz magnets are a pair of 60mm long shiny metallic orbs. They're deeply attracted to each other and are quite happy to sit side by side all day. Pull them apart and you can throw them back together with a loud buzzing noise.
Our favourite entertainment is to put them near each other on the desk and spin one. The other starts turning in sympathy and if you get the distance right, they'll try and work their way back together.
A great way to waste an hour or two.
